Only the badest Judens out there

Arab Labour

Since it’s screening at the Jerusalem Film Festival last summer, the success of Arab Labour has been growing. The director Ron Ninnio first screened the pilot, and two selected episodes from the first season at selected film festivals across the globe. The show is now being screened on Israeli TV and Ninnio has begun filming the second season.

The show is a kind of sitcom that uses humor to try and deal with the hardships that Arabs have to deal with while working in Israel. The show uses a sort of “black humor” developed in America in the 70’s.

I have only seen the pilot, but I highly recommend going to see this film. It should screen at the majority of Jewish Film Festivals in North America this summer, so check it out.

Here is a special clip that Al Jazeera did on the show.
